Carry a spare Camcorder Battery
There are many reasons to carry a spare camcorder battery,
especially in today's age where the battery supplied when you
purchase your camcorder lasts under an hour. There is nothing
more annoying than running out of battery life before you even
finish a tape, and believe me, this is very easy to do.
Owning and carrying a second camcorder battery can come in very
handy when you need it.. even more so when that camcorder
battery has an extended life. I personally start filming with my
extended life battery, and carry the toy battery supplied with
the camcorder as the spare.
If you plan of taking holidays, especially camping trips where
no ready source of power is available, you should also carry at
least one spare battery. Aside from the spare, a good idea is to
also carry a 12v recharger, or alternatively, an inverter
(converts 12v car battery power to mains) so that you can
recharge your batteries on the run.
Don't be left wanting with camcorder battery life. There are
special moments you wish to capture every time you have your
camcorder out, and without a spare battery you miss out on
capturing these forever.
